Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway (NE-7)
Hoskote (Bengaluru) to Sriperumbudur (Chennai) — 263.5 km · 4 lanes (expandable to 8)
A 263.5 km access-controlled expressway connecting Bengaluru and Chennai. The 71 km Karnataka section (Hoskote to the KGF border) opened in December 2024 and a 25 km Andhra Pradesh section followed in June 2026, taking the open length to roughly 100 km. Remaining Andhra and Chennai-end packages are targeted for late 2026, but a contract dispute on the 25.5 km Arakkonam-Kancheepuram stretch has pushed full end-to-end opening to early 2027. Once complete it cuts Bengaluru-Chennai travel from about six hours to just over two.
