India's longest expressway at 1,386 km, developed under Bharatmala Pariyojana. It connects Delhi and Mumbai through six states and will cut travel time from about 24 hours to roughly 12 hours. As of August 2026 it is partially operational with roughly 929 km open to traffic across 54 construction packages. Within the 912 km Delhi–Vadodara section about 697 km is operational, with the balance targeted through 2026; three lagging packages in Gujarat have pushed parts of the Vadodara–Mumbai stretch to March 2028.
