A 62.8 km access-controlled expressway connecting Lucknow and Kanpur, the two largest cities in Uttar Pradesh. Also known as the Awadh Expressway (NE-6). Civil construction is complete and the expressway is in its final pre-opening stage; it is expected to open to traffic in mid-2026. Once operational it will cut Lucknow-Kanpur travel time from about 2.5 hours to roughly 40 minutes.
