Nagpur–Goa Shaktipeeth Expressway

Pawnar (Wardha, Maharashtra) to Patradevi (Sindhudurg, Maharashtra — Goa border)856.8 km · 6 lanes (expandable to 8)

A planned access-controlled expressway running the length of Maharashtra from Pawnar in Wardha district to Patradevi on the Goa border. It is named for the Shaktipeeth temples along its route, including Mahur, Tuljapur and Kolhapur. The Maharashtra Cabinet approved the project in June 2025 at ₹20,787 crore. After farmer protests over land acquisition, the state approved a revised alignment on 1 April 2026 that lengthened the corridor from 802.6 km to 856.8 km and connected it to the Samruddhi Mahamarg. Construction had not started as of August 2026 and completion is expected around 2028-29.
